ZincFive’s UPS Systems for Data Center and Industrial Markets Obtain Trade Agreements Act (TAA) Compliance

The ZincFive C3 Series UPS is now available to IT decision makers in state and local government as well as education sectors

PORTLAND, Oregon—(November, 2020)—ZincFive, the world leader in nickel-zinc (NiZn) batteries and solutions, today announced the ZincFive C3 Series UPS comprising 50kW, 80kW and 100kW uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) comply with the terms of the Trade Agreements Act (TAA) of the Federal Acquisition Regulation.  Obtaining TAA compliance enables US government entities to acquire ZincFive’s UPS solutions that provide high power density combined with superior performance, safety and sustainability advantages.

In accordance with the TAA in the US Federal Acquisition Regulation, meeting these requirements means that the C3 Series UPS models originate from the US or designated countries and those products have undergone substantial transformation in the US or designated countries.

With industry leading performance, safety, and simplicity of operation, the C3 Series UPS solutions bring together ZincFive’s innovative nickel-zinc batteries and state-of-the-art modular inverter technology. The C3 Series UPS provides the smallest footprint and lightest weight per watt in its class.  Combined with a wide operating temperature range and fail-safe nickel-zinc batteries, data center operators now have unprecedented flexibility in placement of UPS infrastructure, where and when they need it.

With the sharp rise in edge computing driven by an explosion in IoT products continuously coming to market, a UPS system agile enough to handle increasing power requirements for decentralized power protection is essential. The ZincFive C3 series UPS disrupts the traditional UPS performance, safety and maintenance model, enabling adaptability in data center power infrastructure design.

The ZincFive C3 series UPS are now available to order.
